They live their best lives with free access to our fenced 5 acres in the countryside near Big Rapids, MI.
We give the puppies their 1st and 2nd puppy shots before they leave for their new homes. We give them the Canine Spectra 5. They are also dewormed.
Yes, we take the puppies to our vet around 6 -7 weeks of age for a puppy wellness check and health certificates.
Yes. We start at a very young age handling the puppies and introducing them to as many sights, sounds, smells, experiences, other animals and people as we can while we have them. We encourage you to continue this when you take them home so that they are well adjusted, well rounded puppies.
We let our puppies go to their new homes around 9 weeks of age. We feel the puppies need this extra time to learn their puppy manners from their mom and our other Labs. Puppies need ample time to mature and socialize with their mom, our other labs and their siblings to set them up for success in their new homes.
Yes. We send a care basket home with the puppies that include a puppy blanket with their mom and siblings scents on it, puppy food, a toy, a leash, treats and a folder with all their pertinent information including their lineage, health certificate and training tips & tricks.
We recommend free feeding puppies until they are 6 months old. You can continue to free feed or at that time, move to a morning/evening schedule. If you would prefer to not free feed, you can start off with feeding them 4 times a day, moving down to 3 times a day and the down to 2 times a day by 6 months old. We recommend giving them a full bowl of food and then taking it away when they walk away from it. Puppies won’t over eat and they are growing so fast, they’ll adjust to what their bodies need.
I am available even after you get the puppy home. I send my contact information with you, so if you have any questions you can always ask me. Or if you just want to share pictures/videos of your puppy as they grow, I would love to see them!
You can reserve a puppy whenever you would like. The order of deposit received is the order you get to pick out the puppy. 1st deposit paid? 1st pick of the puppies. Once the puppies are 6 weeks old, you can come see them and decide on which puppy you would like to pick. We keep track of which puppy is which by collar color, weight and indifidual puppy characteristics.
